Sky Tunnels

Sky Tunnels connect at one end to a Dome Light on the roof, the shiny surface bounces daylight down the tube and delivers it to a diffuser panel mounted in the ceiling of the unlit area. Whilst its direct effect is to eliminate the cost of using artificial light during daylight hours, natural light encourages a feeling of well-being and makes dark, enclosed spaces seem less claustrophobic.

WHERE WILL IT FIT? The dome, tube and diffuser should be fitted between existing joists. On houses built to current standards, the joists are 600mm apart and should accept the 535mm diameter size Direct Daylight System without difficulty. Buildings prior to the present standards may have joists that are closer together, in which case the 343mm diameter Direct Daylight System should be suitable. Whilst for optimum light transmission the diffuser should be installed directly under the dome, problems with this alignment due to the roofs construction can be overcome by simply bending the unique Direct Daylight flexible tube around the obstruction.
